ShawHankins works closely with our clients throughout the year to develop and implement an effective renewal strategy and remove the administrative burdens that organizations can encounter.
Benefit Plan Analysis
Through a benefit plan analysis which is based on objective and critical analysis, ShawHankins streamlines the decision making process for our clients related to carrier, product and vendor selection.
Network Analysis
ShawHankins assists our clients by quantifying an organization's historical network discounts and projecting the future cost savings of making a change to a network with more aggressive medical provider discounts. ShawHankins utilizes a revolutionary data clearinghouse and cost modeling system from Milliman that quickly and accurately delivers provider network financial performance information based on actual claims paid - without projections, trend increases, actuarial manipulations, or other adjustments.
Using a time tested cost modeling methodology for this unprecedented system, Milliman collects and evaluates raw claims data and calculates experience-based charges and discounts.
Quest Analytics - Medical Provider Quality of Care Analysis
Using a product developed by Quest Analytics, ShawHankins performs a detailed quality of care assessment tailored specifically to the hospitals, doctors, and networks that our clients' employees utilize. From this analysis, we can begin to study the impact of provider quality on the bottom line, specifically examining how contracted hospitals compare from a wide array of clinical measures.
Proposal and SPD Reconciliations
ShawHankins ensures accuracy and consistency among the various medical and ancillary contracts by comparing the selected proposals with the initial versions of the Summary Plan Descriptions by the insurance carriers. Our procedures prevent common problems such as conflicting definitions and incorrect plan specifications. This process has historically led to a number of versions of carrier SPD's until the contract matches the products selected by the client.
