Each year at open enrollment, our staff conducts comprehensive and educational meetings regarding our client's new benefits for the new plan year.
We dedicate the resources necessary to provide employees with access to information over and above the limited information included in insurance company Benefit Highlight Sheets.
Our larger clients receive ShawHankins Enrollment Guides which provide detailed information on each plan with corresponding payroll deductions. Also included are many compliance documents such as the Employees Rights regarding COBRA Continuation, the Section 125 Summary Plan Description, the HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices and other required documents.
After the enrollment meetings have concluded, one of our most valuable services begins. We take all enrollment materials, complete the forms and begin to build electronic and hard copy files on each employee. We take responsibility for the insurance companies receiving the necessary forms and perform all steps of the implementation process.
WE DO NOT EXPECT OUR CLIENT'S EMPLOYEES TO PERFORM ANY OF THE FUNCTIONS OF THE ENROLLMENT! WE DO NOT DEPEND ON INSURANCE COMPANY STAFF OR OTHER VENDORS TO PERFORM THESE DUTIES EITHER!
From that point forward, we handle all claims issues, benefit questions and all other forms of customer service for the employees of our clients.
On a monthly basis, we conduct enrollment meetings for new employees. These employees receive the same comprehensive and educational meeting that existing employees receive at open enrollment.
In the event that our client selects our MyBenefitsView online benefit administration system, we would perform all the activities related to the process of downloading employee information and loading benefit plans into the insurance company's systems. We train our client's human resources personnel so that they also have access to the system.
Our MyBenefitsView system allows employees to not only enroll online, but also access and print benefit summaries, Summary Plan Descriptions, and comprehensive Employee Benefit Statements. Employees can also access the system to make changes in the plan due to life events such as marriage, divorce or childbirth.
