At our annual NFP Strategy Summit last week, NFP brought together many of its leadership professionals, and affiliated firms to present legislative updates, product enhancements, and corporate initiatives. Scott Hankins, President of ShawHankins and an advisory board member of Benefits Partners, Bart Shaw, Assistant Vice President of Sales and Todd Hooper, Practice Leader/Public Education were in attendance.
The three day conference was held in Dallas, Texas at the Omni International Hotel. The annual conference showcases NFP's Employee Benefits services, Human Resource services, Investment/Retirement services, and Property and Casual services. Recently NFP was ranked by Business Insurance as the 5th largest global benefits broker by revenue, the 4th largest US-based privately owned broker and the 11th largest broker of US business.
In one session, Janet Trautwein, President of the National Association of Health Underwriters spoke to those in attendance. Her comments largely focused on the Affordable Care Act and the impact the various candidates for President of the United States might have on future healthcare issues.
