2018 26 in ShawHankins
ShawHankins is proud to announce and welcome Matthew Gambill as the Company’s Director of Business Development. Gambill began his position on November 1, 2018, and will phase in over the next two months while transitioning from his previous role as Executive Director for the Georgia Association for Career & Technical Education. Gambill will be responsible for sales team leadership, driving revenue, maintaining and growing business relationships, and will be a key part of the implementation of new business plans and the penetration of new markets.
Matthew Gambill is a native of Cartersville, Georgia and received his B.A. in Political Science from Lee University in Cleveland, Tennessee. He joins the ShawHankins team with over 16 years of Business Development experience and a long history of working in and with the community. Gambill has built strong relationships in the public and private sectors throughout his career. Since 2004, he has served as the Executive Director for the Georgia Association for Career & Technical Education where he has overseen the daily operations of the association which serves over 2,500 members statewide. During his tenure, GACTE tripled its membership and saw annual revenues exceed one million dollars. GACTE is currently the second largest ACTE state chapter in the United States.
Gambill is a member of the Georgia Society of Association Executives, Georgia Economic Developers Association, Georgia Chamber of Commerce, the Cartersville-Bartow County Chamber of Commerce, a graduate of the 2007 Leadership Bartow Class, a graduate of the 2010 Leadership Georgia Class, and selected by Georgia Trend Magazine for their 2012 “40 Under 40” publication. He serves on the board of directors for Indian Springs Holiness Campmeeting, the Boys and Girls Clubs of Bartow County, the Boys and Girls Clubs Georgia Alliance, Past Chair of the Boys and Girls Clubs Georgia Area Council, and Past Chair of the Murphy-Harpst Children’s Home. He is an active member, deacon, and Sunday School teacher at Tabernacle Baptist Church in Cartersville. He was most recently elected to the Georgia House of Representatives from District 15 which encompasses Cartersville, Emerson, and Allatoona.

We are pleased to announce that Kate Yazel has joined our technology team as benefits technology project manager. Kate brings over seven years of experience in Human Resources, is specialized in employee benefits, strategy/administration, and is skilled in managing technical projects. She will be responsible for generating employee benefit enrollment portals, benefit resource center websites, and web data analytics. Her strong communication skills, operational analysis, and commitment to data integrity will support client teams throughout technology implementations.
